Horoscope: The Death of Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed

August 31, 20 1 6: the 19th Anniversary of the Diana and Dodi Assassination

August 31, 1997 at 12:22 am CEDT Paris, France: Above is the horoscope of Princess Diana and Dodi al Fayed’s death crash. I'm posting it here because the chart with a few details has been on my Jude's Threshold blog for years but the blog may be going away on or by October 11, 2016 so if there's anything there you wish to read, hurry! And please pardon the location of this horoscope which should be set for "Paris"...mea culpa! my software was set for "Parmain" instead and I failed to notice. Cuspal differences are minor (ASC 16Gem52, MC 14AQ30) and no planets change houses so I'm posting this version due to a shortage of blogging time today. Plus, royal star Rigel rises in both charts heralding a significant event.

The following indented text (with slight edits for clarity) is from my previous post about the Diana-Dodi death crash chart--an assassination if there ever was one:

As you may know, Diana, some close to her say, had threatened to reveal secrets of the monarchy and government which had to include the massive Great Plan for Global Government. The royal family's shady finances may have been under threat of exposure, too, I suspect.

The Moon/Saturn midpoint is rising with the duo referring to a woman’s physical body or health, and to emotional depression; Moon-Saturn = ASC: mourning (Ebertin).

And as you know, often the Moon and/or Jupiter are Angular in charts relating to death–-and this event has them both Angular. Here it's Jupiter opposing the Moon with both on the MC-IC angle...very descriptive.

Icarus, an asteroid whose “flying too high/assassination” connections are to be considered in any chart of mysterious death is conjunct the midpoint of Sun-MC (The Goal) so look for Icarus near Pluto in 6th house of Military, Police, Civil Service, Daily Rounds, and Health. (Edit: Pluto is the fellow or fellows who tend to order assassinations while aggressive Mars is usually involved in the carrying out of the crime. Here, Mars @11Scorpio triggers the Moon-Uranus midpoint (an excited woman; emotional excitement) to form a picture of potentials for: acts of violence; injury; craving for sensation (Ebertin).

And checking the eerily apt Sabian Symbols for Jupiter and Mc, looking at both “14AQ” and “15AQ" we find:

“14AQ”: “A train entering a tunnel.”

“15AQ”: “Two lovebirds sitting on a fence and singing happily.” #

Solar Eclipses: Virgo-Pisces = the Victim-Savior Axis

The Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse of this crime is notated at 18 Pis 30, the position of the current Solar Eclipse of endings and separation (until tomorrow, September 1 st!) but the more descriptive eclipse is also marked in yellow and orange at the bottom of the chart: "September 1, 19 97 18 North = an accident; taxing of strength" (Brady). An 18 North Solar Eclipse last manifested on September 1 3, 20 15 @2 0 Virgo (conjunct fixed star Denebola--to go against society, which can describe what Princess Diana, a royal Brit, and Dodi Fayed, a wealthy Middle Easterner, were up to with their romance. But it also hints at the actions taken against them which emotionally devastated massive numbers of people across the globe and was made worse by the extreme brutality and viciousness of the event. A quick look at the photos of the car tells us that.

There is so much more to say about this chart (my original post included Diana's natal planets) but I shall close for now by noting the Locomotive shape of the horoscope's planets as they follow the lead of the Moon (a woman) in romantic Leo being opposed by Jupiter (royalty?) which suggests a lady on a search for emotional freedom and independence, yet this was what she could not be allowed to achieve.

May Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed R.I.P.

For news, here's a Mirror article published today about the tragedy (it always seemed obvious to me that yes, she was pregnant) and here's a Facebook page I just discovered with extensive information about the event--it took the UK government about 17 years to release the 'official report' in 2014, if memory serves.

Mossy Cave Observatory and the Stars of Ophiuchus

Not much Astrology going on here today. At least, not the sort promised for this blog (non-political) but one of my Cosmic Art drawings, Mossy Cave Observatory, has come to call at JCAstro with more than one planet on its viewing calendar:

Ophiuchus Opposite Orion

For more Astronomy, stargazing tips, and such check out Constellation Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer by astronomer and author Brian Ventrudo. The constellation's brightest star is Ras Alhague, the Head of the Serpent Bearer, which links to the myth of Asclepius, the Healer, whose Rod of Asclepius in modern medicine is usually called the Caduceus symbol with its intertwined snakes for snakes shed their skins in Spring and feel much better for it. Hence, the basis for old fashioned detoxifying Spring Tonics!

And of course these mythical archetypes and symbols fall under the purview of Pluto, astrologically, the planet of regeneration, detoxification, and transformation. And snakes. And dragons and lizards. And snakes.

Now the e-book I have by Brian Ventrudo is his The Armchair Astronomer, Vol I (Nebulae) which is a wonderful book with excellent nebula photos--plus, it resonates quite well with my status as an Armchair Genealogist! #ad

Horoscopes: The Roaring Twenties Solar Eclipse and F. Scott Fitzgerald

The Natal Chart of F. Scott Fitzgerald and the Roaring Twenties

by Jude Cowell

Please note that the following post previously appeared on my WordPress blog in 2013 and retains a few references to future events which have already occurred! However, the Astrology remains the same.

Original post begins here:

My friend Julie Demboski’s analysis of today’s entry of Venus into Mercury-ruled Gemini Talkity Talkity Talk fills us in on what and where we may expect this social energy to express.

And of course, one of the signs related to writing, Gemini, is the sign of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s natal Pluto (13:43 Rx) and his imbibing Mars-Neptune conjunction (20:38 and 20:18 Rx, respectively.) As you probably know, Fitzgerald ruined his health by years of drinking alcohol (and possibly taking other drugs–-I don’t know) with Mars signifying energy and action and Neptune ruling all forms of negative escapism.

Another ‘writing’ indicator is his Mercury-Venus conjunction in art loving Libra @24:48 and 23:12, respectively. Between this conjunction and his natal Sun @2Lib18 in the 8th house of Debt and Death lurks asteroid Bacchus and ‘bacchanalia’ is one way to describe the lifestyle and drunken parties of Scott and wife Zelda (born Zelda Sayre July 24, 1900 5:40 am CST Montgomery, AL.) Yet for their romance, we see that their Suns and Moons ('marriage') were sextile one another and their 1st and 7th cusps (Ascendant-Descendant axis of Partnerships) were 'flipped' by sign--his ASC-DESC @4AQ/4Leo, her ASC-DESC @9Leo/9AQ.

Also note that you'll find, below, a view of a horoscope of the ‘Roaring Twenties’ Solar Eclipse of 1923 in the 1 6 North Saros Series with its themes of ‘inspiration; creativity; illumination’ (Brady) and it repeats on November 3, 2013; enlarge the chart to read a few basic details. The 1 6 North Eclipse fell into Scott’s 7th house of Partnerships and Marriage and I imagine the drinking and dancing became even wilder for it! Its insights and material-released-from-the-unconscious influence must have inspired his writing as well.

Below is a view of The Great Gatsby author’s natal horoscope around which I’ve penned Zelda’s natal planets for noon since her birth time is unknown (update: now it is apparently known--there's a link to her chart, below, and her Moon was @6 Cancer 38) so Zelda was a Sun Leo-Moon Cancer personality blend of Fire-Water...steamy!

September 24, 1896 3:30 pm +6:12:22 Saint Paul, Minnesota; Hour of the Sun; final dispositor Venus (23Lib12 conjunct intellectual Spica and ‘different approach’ Arcturus); Full Moon +212 degrees 9 minutes = objective, clear-headed (but for the alcohol), revelation, illumination, fulfillment; potential for separation/divorce from partner–or, from reality. (Rudhyar); Air-Earth = rational, efficient, innovative, social, communicating–plans before acting; can lose touch with feelings; finds steamy Fire-Water types like Zelda fascinating.

With this Friday’s premiere of Baz Luhrman’s film The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, we see that transit Jupiter (good fortune; increase; indulgence) has been traveling amongst F. Scott’s trio of planets in Gemini–Pluto, Neptune, and Mars when success, illusion (film), and luxury are spotlighted–-in this case, for those in the movie industry who have associated themselves with his novel, the Jazz Age, and those glamorous and giddy Roaring Twenties.

As you may be able to see, Zelda has a Gemini line-up of the same planets in different order and both were born soon after the Great Conjunction/s of Neptune and Pluto, a pair of generational planets signifying the supernatural, mystics, peculiar people, occultists, and psychics. Also, the pair is linked to: a craving for alcohol, nicotine and other substances, the pursuit of fantastic ideas, self-torment, manias, obsession, confusion, a lack of incentive to maintain health, and grievous loss (Ebertin.)

F. Scott Fitzgerald collapsed and died of heart attack after ill health and alcohol had weakened him in Hollywood, California on December 21, 1940. Transiting Uranus (sudden attacks) was in opposition to his natal Uranus in Scorpio (his mid-life crisis period), Jupiter conjoined his natal Moon in early Taurus after tr Saturn @8Tau13 Rx had been restricting it (deprivation, depression, ill health–Moon = emotions and physical body) and was heading back toward his Moon. This was also a Saturn-opposing-natal-Saturn transit, a time of little if any progress, regrets about the past, and other negative conditions possibly relating to work.

Nebulous Neptune @27Vir40 approached natal Sun thus weakening vitality and denoting unrealistic or misguided notions or goals, a lack of solid purpose, and much confusion; yet Neptune may also bring the highest creative inspiration though bolstering the ego (Sun) with alcohol (Neptune) has very negative effects at this time.

Well, there are many more things to discover in the natal horoscope of F. Scott Fitzgerald but I don’t want to ruin all your fun!

~:~

Image below: Roaring Twenties Solar Eclipse @17Vir06 (a critical degree) conjunct art-lover and pleasure-seeker Venus 17Vir12; Hour of Jupiter in Scorpio which conjoins the Midheaven (The Goal) so the optimistic pursuit of happiness, jolliness, and wealth infuse the air; there’s a Water Grand Trine of creativity which is part of a Kite pattern (success) with quirky, progressive Uranus as the tail, conjunct South Node @11Pis31, seeks freedom from the past but also denotes deception and illusion. Plus, the sign of Uranus indicates behavior of a generation, and Pisces, ruler of feet, does love to dance and imbibe!

The wild parties of the Jazz Age are supported here by Neptune in entertaining Leo with Saturn and Neptune in a sextile aspect of eating, drinking, and smoking (oral fixation) and showing a tendency to use negative escapism to cover up and ignore problems rather than deal with Saturn’s harsh realities and responsibilities.

F. Scott’s birth data of *3:30 pm on September 24, 1896 in Saint Paul, MN has a Rodden Rating of AA (BC/BR in hand), if you care to check it out. And you may wish to view the natal horoscope (Rated B for bio/autobio) of Zelda Sayre Fitzgerald as well.

*In his book The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, Marc Edmund Jones gives the same birth data for F. Scott.

And for another gilded trend-setter of the Jazz Age have a gander at One of a Kind: Miss Josephine Baker!

'Lucifer' | Official Trailer | FOX Broadcasting (plus, Astrology!)

In a spirit of tribute, here is a republish of one of my WordPress posts concerning the Astrology of the FOX TV show Lucifer which stars Welsh actor Tom Ellis in a bout of perfect casting. Last I heard, the second season of Lucifer airs September 19, 2016 and if you haven't seen it, the show is not quite what you may think it to be:

Lucifer: Fallen Angels, Demons, Karma, and a Royal Star of Persia

by Jude Cowell

On the evening of January 25, 2016 Lucifer premiered on FOX TV at 9:00 pm est. Rising in New York City (NYC to represent the East Coast USA) at that moment were transiting Jupiter (an actors’ planet) and North Node of the Moon (public contact), traveling in tandem at 22 Virgo and bestowing good fortune where appropriate. Not everyone was thrilled with such existential topics being aired as part of a racy dramatic endeavor, and critics became somewhat mild in their appraisals. Fans of the comic character ‘Lucifer’, created by Neil Gaiman, were for the most part less than impressed. But the ladies–well, they were quite a different matter, thanks to Mr. Ellis and the cast.

A magnetic effect seems to be centered upon the show’s leading actor, Tom Ellis, born November 17, 1978, hour unknown, in Bangor, UK (Wales) with Sun, attractor Venus, and intense Uranus in Scorpio. Or allow me to be specific: the magnetism seems to be centered upon the hypnotic effect of Mr. Ellis’s dark, Scorpio-looking eyes. TV technical effects add to the impression as ‘Lucifer Morningstar’ threatens miscreants with black eyes that turn...well, check them out if you haven’t. Hopefully, the following video won’t be spirited away due to infringement rights though it probably will be–and soon:

~:~

Now back to January 25, 2016 9:00 pm est when the Sun was clocking in at 5 Aquarius 31. Round up the degree to 6 Aquarius and you have a solar spotlight directed at the natal (birth) asteroid ‘Lucifer’ in the natal horoscope of Tom Ellis. His natal Moon (either in the last third of Gemini or in very early Cancer–details, below) is in 10th house of Career and Public Status and conjunct Midheaven, a signature for major publicity (Moon) on the world stage (MC.) His natal Mercury-Neptune conjunction at 17 Sagittarius+ is very much the signature of a thespian and holds a fount of creativity within. If memory serves, he became active in the profession at age 17, plus, natal Uranus at 17 Scorpio joins Venus (9Sco53 Rx) and his Sun in the mystical, dark sign of Scorpio.

And if we consider the Sun’s ’25 Scorpio’ Sabian Symbol, we find “An X-Ray” which seems to relate the those magnetic, hypnotic eyes we discussed a moment ago. X-ray vision comes to mind–you know, like in comic books back in the day?

As for major success, there’s the pilot episode premiering during a planetary Locomotive pattern with the publicity seeking Moon in the lead to guarantee popularity. And with the Moon (the public) at 29 Leo05–-precisely conjoining the 12th house cusp (29:05 at 9:00 pm est) and also reflecting a certain Royal Star of Persia, Regulus (keywords: success if revenge is avoided). Of course, Regulus has a long history of affecting events and people on Earth, is mentioned in the Bible, and is aka, The Watcher of the North–an angel. The King or The Kingmaker are also roles that Regulus may play yet it’s doubtful that any characterization of the devil could represent him truthfully if he didn’t take revenge on the guilty. Punishment, TV’s Lucifer says, is what he does. Or used to.

However, when planets are linked with Regulus, who ruled as king in long ago golden days, there comes a caution: that revenge is his nemesis and if he takes it, he will ultimately lose all his power and success. The desire for revenge is a desire to which he must not succumb. As you may agree, few human beings manage to withstand such a warning even while knowing that natural laws ensnare us all within the universal net of karma and we must reap what we’ve sown.

Now I doubt that the scriptwriters of Lucifer have any such plot in mind but that’s part of one version of the myth associated with Regulus, and on at least one level Tom Ellis’ Lucifer, fallen from grace as he is, seems to be following a Regulus pattern of behavior by succumbing regularly for if you really want to do something you should do it, Lucifer advises.

Of course, none of the above mentions the pure fun the program provides as a brilliant Welsh actor embodies for us God’s fallen offspring playing and romancing in the form of an L.A. nightclub owner. Lucifer is, some say, his Father’s favorite son but he strongly disagrees. The good news for #Lucifans is that Lucifer is renewed for a second season so everyone will have future opportunities to enjoy the show’s intoxicating blend of sophistication and humor mixed with sophomoric innuendo and the lightest touch possible in a story full of temptation, pride, angel wings, and featuring the epitome of the rebellious son who refuses to swallow his overwhelming pride and return to his Father.

A Bit of Natal Astrology

Now if Tom Ellis was born on November 17, 1978 between the hours of 8:16 pm GMT and midnight, his Moon is in tribal, self-protective, home-loving Cancer. Chances are better that his Moon is in Mercury-ruled Gemini which adds a light touch to his intense Scorpio Sun, so here are the ‘Images for Integration’ for this conscious-unconscious combination of energies as provided by the Harveys in their book, Sun Sign-Moon Sign:

“Trivial Pursuits goes macabre...A virtuoso violinist touches the hearts of her audience” (or in this case, pianist!)..."The mystery of life in a strip cartoon strip...Rodin’s The Kiss, Hands.”

Yes, Rodin was born under the influence of Sun Scorpio-Moon Gemini as was Dostoyevsky who appropriately informs us that,

“If the devil doesn’t exist, but man has created him, he has created him in his own image and likeness.”

And on Mondays 9:00 pm on FOX TV, that image looks a lot like Tom Ellis.

A Natal Chart and a Neptune Return for Sherlock Holmes

The following article and horoscope previously appeared on Jude's Threshold:

A Neptune Return for Sherlock Holmes

by Jude Cowell

If you enlarge the image of the natal horoscope of literary character Sherlock Holmes, with the ‘birth date’ based on first publication, you’ll see a few notes penned upon it including a midpoint picture (center) which describes why I chose ‘8:12 am GMT’ to time the chart. This is, of course, speculative, since a publication date rarely includes a particular hour. For astrologers this is inconvenient when setting up a ‘natal chart’ for a well beloved character so several methods of determining a ‘birth hour’ may be utilized.

Neptune: Planet of Masks, Deception, Illusion, Disguise, and Theater

As you can see, the midpoint picture of Neptune-Midheaven (Mc) = Sun (personality) reveals one who uses ‘physical disguises’, one of Mr. Holmes’s favorite ways to investigate by secretly spying on people when necessary. Of course, sunrise, noon, or other hours may be experimented with when sleuthing for the birth time of Sherlock Holmes but here I use 8:12 am GMT, January 6, 1854 (London, England, naturally) for the reason stated:

Oh, and did I mention that 8:12 am GMT in London on that date gives a sunrise (solar) horoscope? Such a solar chart relates to career and as we’ll find from the Sun Capricorn-Moon Aries personality blend of this very famous consulting detective, a materialistic view and an over emphasis on career matters are indicated by this Earth-Fire combination of energies, here with a Saturn-Mars influence. And in the many celluloid portrayals of his personal traits, emotionalism is not a strong suit, just as in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s stories. Objectivity, not subjectivity, is his goal in all things though more recent portrayals tend to soften him up a bit to be more pleasing to a modern audience. Still, his Sun Cap-Moon Aries blend identifies Sherlock as shrewd, obsessive, tenacious, courageous, and self-motivated; he’s an astute thinker with high standards and powerful leadership qualities. Insensitivity to others is shown via a brusque manner and an irritable moodiness when things don’t go his way–ask his favorite nemesis, Moriarty–Sherlock Holmes is a very sore loser!

Yet Mr. Holmes is honest and has a deep sense of responsibility along with a constant desire for excitement, for as you know, boredom and trivialities simply won’t do. Having Neptune in its own sign of Pisces figures into his use of drugs but 1 9 th century drug use is a little beyond the scope of this post. Actually my primary goal is to provide the dates of what is called a Neptune Return for, as you see, Sherlock’s natal Neptune at 1 1 Pisces 3 0 is basically the slow moving planet’s recent and current sign and degree in the Tropical Zodiac. Due to retrogradation, Neptune’s return to its 1854 degree of 1 1 Pisces 3 0 occurs five times, one of which has already occurred (and see the link, below, for the latest news on Season 4 which went into production Spring 2016 and will most likely air in January 2 0 1 7 or thereabouts).

Intriguingly, natal Neptune conjoins one of the sleuth’s natal asteroids and you’ll never guess which one...Nemesis!

The astrological keywords for Nemesis include ‘divine retribution’ and ‘the unbeatable foe’ and I suspect you agree that Doyle’s Moriarty character perfectly fits those descriptions. This causes me to wonder if Conan Doyle was aware of the Neptune-Nemesis synchronicity in early January 1854 especially since he dabbled in spiritualism and other esoteric subjects long studied by secret societies such as the Freemasons and Rosicrucians. At the least, I think he knew of the Fates and Nemesis as the Greek goddess of divine retribution since Greek Mythology was a hot topic in the 19th century, plus, destiny and karma (reaping what was sown) are Universal Laws near the heart of many Sherlock Holmes tales, are they not?

Here’s the theatrical Neptune of Sherlock Holmes returning for another bow:

April 2 9, 2 0 1 6

July 3 0, 2 0 1 6

February 2 4, 2 0 1 7

November 1 1, 2 0 1 7

December 3, 2 0 1 7

Prominently, the July 3 0, 2 0 1 6 Neptune Return chart shows a major and exact transit to the character’s natal Sun (1 5 Cap 4 5) in the form of a visit from creepy Pluto, planet of power, transformation, mystery, hidden wealth, invisibility, crime, death, etc. Pluto-to-Sun denotes a time of intense self-awareness when a desire for recognition is uppermost and courageous actions are taken by those with the determination to do so. However, we may see Sherlock retreating even more than usual as he deepens his methods of investigation and makes some sort of new start, or takes things in a new direction. Fear may also be in the script with is considerable ego as a driving force, plus, ghosts from the past will weigh heavily upon his present actions, as noted in the update linked here:

Season 4 Update

Now there's a strong emphasis on Pluto (sleuthing, stalking, detecting, victimizing other people, etc) in the chart of this imaginary character although we must also tip our deerstalkers to natal Mars at 1 6 Virgo 3 8 as the handle of a Bucket planetary pattern (which would be labeled a Bowl were it not for its handle, Mars in scientifically minded Virgo, the sign of categorizing, organizing, tidiness, attention to details, and dedication to work. Discriminating Virgo with Mars, planet of motivation, action, and energy, describes Sherlock Holmes perfectly with his magnifying glass and microscope at-the-ready for detecting minute details of any mystery. And as Bucket handle, Mars in fussy Virgo is the main channel for his natal planets’ energies to express (confirmed bachelor as he is and devoted to finding the truth) and as the handle planet melds the two halves of his horoscope and psyche into a whole person (or, a whole character in Sherlock's case.)

His Mars-Neptune opposition is prominent and relates to his drug use and his ability to play roles by disguising himself, but also is influential in the way some characters tend to distrust Sherlock Holmes and think he’s a sham and not a ‘real detective’ at all! But let us continue....

Neptune-Nemesis, Pluto-to-Sun in Saturn-ruled Capricorn, and Mars in Virgo. Neglected so far is his Mercury in Sagittarius, sign of The Seeker. Mercury rules the thinking and reasoning processes and style of communication (and siblings such as Mycroft!) and in Sagittarius denotes the philosopher with manifold interests-–a deep thinker who strives for justice and truth (Ebertin), and is pre-occupied with problems, puzzles, and mysteries. Perhaps this chart’s Scorpio Midheaven isn’t far off since Scorpio loves a mystery, can be quite morbid, and Midheaven is the Goal Point of any chart. Solving mysteries fits Scorpio well yet oddly enough there are no planets in the sign though there are three in opposing Taurus so the 2/8 polarity is implicated.

Rising as you see are his Chiron in Capricorn conjoining natal Sun. Chiron is the blindspot but also The Key and/or the mentor in a chart and is often described as The Wounded Healer, or Christ consciousness. Does Sherlock play the role of the healer who needs healing himself? Does he come close to martyrdom during his life-and-death struggles, perhaps? I would say so though you may disagree if you wish. Coupled with natal Sun, Chiron denotes one for whom pride and power lie in ambush (Nolle) and through Chiron-Sun we see this unique character’s innate sense of destiny played out across Neptune’s Silver Screen as Sherlock burns with purpose within his (imaginary!) existence that, as noted previously, cannot be trivial but must be larger than life.

Neptune's Silver Screen

Nearby is Jupiter at 8 Cap 0 6, the planet of success. Jupiter precisely conjoins the Syzygy Moon (8 Cap 3 2), the last lunation (a New Moon) prior to January 6, 1854. The Saturnian sign with Jupiter there indicates that Sherlock relates to others as an authority (Capricorn) and of course we can all agree to that. A New Moon prior adds to the novel and unique quality of Doyle’s then-popular character of a ‘consulting detective’. (You know that 'Sherlock Holmes' was not Doyle's favorite invention--but it did add to his income. Additionally, the Pre-Natal Solar Eclipse of his birth date is the 18 South Saros Series which happens to be our current series with themes of separations, partings, and endings but with a possibility for positive outcomes (Brady). 18 South last manifested on March 9, 2 0 1 6 @1 8 Pis 5 5; the next Solar Eclipse = Sept 1, 2 0 1 6 @9 Virgo 2 1.

Sherlock’s Jupiter-Chiron brings in a crusader quality (knighthood--the capes and occasional evening dress) and possibly adds more secret society vibes to his chart as brother Mycroft sends him off on secret missions for Crown and country. Or tries to.

Meanwhile, Sherlock's North Node (future direction; destiny) in Mercury-ruled Gemini hints at the character’s many associations and contacts (ex: the street kids) and the seeking of stimulating ideas and new projects--though communication may remain on a superficial level with all but the chosen few. With a Gemini North Node he simply loathes being wrong as well which certainly you have noticed in many episodes and in versions of the stories w lead actors playing his nibs.

Then there is lady Venus, planet of the attraction principle, love, beauty, diplomacy, and relationships, in very early Pisces, the sign of her exaltation. Since Sherlock tends to prefer freedom to union, we may assume that his love of music and the violin is described here with his Sun-Moon personality (yes, the Moon remained in Aries the entire 24-hour day) already noted for an avoidance of the emotionalism that Venusian romance would require. Also note that the agent ‘Irene Adler’ character--The Woman, as he called her-–may be indicated by Venus in Pisces, a sign of mystery and subterfuge. Plus, the condition of loving a woman who is elsewhere, be it in death or otherwise, can be enough to satisfy an ethereal Venus in mystical Pisces.

Now as you see, there is quite a lot of Taurus the Bull in the chart viaSaturn Rx, Uranus Rx, and Pluto Rx. Suffice to say that a tendency toward materialism is supported here though eccentric Uranus in Taurus adds a flair for taking risks and a resourcefulness in seeking out finances. A certain inertia may be noticed with Saturn in stubborn, sometimes lazy or indolent Taurus while Pluto in this sign of wealth denotes one who is obsessed with gaining possessions in a way which may affect his destiny (Ebertin).

And yes, there are many other chart factors of note in this speculative natal horoscope for Sherlock Holmes but to mention them all would put you, dear reader, in serious danger of reading a rather verbose book rather than a WordPress article! So I’ll sign off by sending Good Wishes to cast and crew as fans such as myself await an exciting new season of Benedict Cumberbatch (Mars in Virgo) and Martin Freeman (Sun in Virgo) in their roles as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson airing on Masterpiece Theater in 2 0 1 7 !

Why Study Harmonic Charts in Astrology?

For me, one of the more fascinating branches of Astrology is the study of Harmonics which may be used as a microscope into the planetary aspects of a horoscope and the psyche it represents. David Cochrane's videos What a Harmonic Chart Is and How to Interpret It (part of a series) explains the method for those who are interested:

David, along with John Addey (of wave theory fame), Charles Harvey, David Hamblin and others, is a Harmonics pioneer, plus, The Mountain Astrologer's Mary Plumb wrote about Harmonic Charts in 2011 with a few handy links included!
