Astro-Notes on Jupiter-Neptune types

Lately it seems that folks born under the inflationary rays of Jupiter-Neptune, especially the conjunction (1932, 1945, 1958, 1971, 1984, 1997), top the news cycle in the US, people such as Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, taken into police custody in London (April 11, 2019).

Yes, astrological Jupiter can expand and inflate on his own but add the higher-octave energies of urge-to-merge Neptune, gaseous planet of deception, illusion, fraud, dissolution, disappointment, and loss and we're loaded down with get-rich-quick schemes and schemers galore.

Even Donald Trump was born under a frothy 2nd hou$e Jupiter-Neptune conjunction in Libra but with wounded Chiron snugged between the pair. Trump's inflationary conjunction (or trio, if you prefer) is more prominent due to his birth occurring only 3 hours 11 minutes prior to Jupiter at Station Rx turning to forward motion across all the boundaries The Great One can ignore. As we've seen with Mr. Trump such eager 'exploration' includes breaching the personal space of a beautiful woman to making end runs around the laws of the land or ignoring them altogether in a series of power grabs. Such a paradox his southern border wall! Yet that comes under the purview of his Watery Saturn in self-protective, tribal sign of Cancer--Saturn, planet of walls and boundaries, and in his detriment in Cancer.

Now I didn't intend to fuss this morning about the Trumpster on JCAstro (but he's a prime example of these inflated energies!) so below are a few general notes on Jupiter-Neptune with their last Great Conjunction/s perfecting 3 times in 2009 in the range of 24 to 27AQ--conjunct US natal Moon. This is the cycle we remain in until their next conjunction (see below). As you know, 2009 was the first year of the Obama administration so Jupiter-Neptune vibes will forever be a cosmic imprint upon his presidency and on the America people (Moon), its inspiring 'dreaminess' and sense of unreality included. These issues continue to echo in 2019 with Jupiter traveling through his own sign of fiery Sagittarius, sign of The Foreigner and The Outsider, and Neptune strong in its sign of secretive if creative Pisces.

Note that the Jupiter-Neptune cycle is approximately 13 years in length, and although their conjunction's affects are usually impersonal, the pair's energies imprint personally upon big Mr. Trump as well for his natal Descendant is in the final degree of Aquarius so that a midpoint picture of potentials is formed--Jupiter-Neptune oppo ASC: living in an unreal fantasy world, sharing great hopes with others, speculation (Ebertin). That would be his nibs.

Astro-Notes on Jupiter-Neptune

Born with Jupiter conjunct Neptune suggests a very fertile (perhaps overworked) imagination which, if not constructively channeled, leads to misjudgments about the reality of one's surrounding environment. A tendency toward escapism and a constant yearning for bizarre experiences may also be prominent along with psychic and/or healing powers (A. Oken). Overblown rhetoric is often a feature of this conjunction with Jupiter playing the broadcaster role and glamour-prone Neptune as planet of The Media and The Masses. And with his political hat on, Jupiter glories in making promises that have little or no chance of ever being fulfilled while Neptune promotes propaganda and lies. Campaign promises!

Yes, there is "Grand Spirit" attached to the Jupiter-Neptune duo yet it's frequently marred by self-deception and egotistical aims.

Plus, other potentials for a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction include extreme idealism (or ideological oddness), cult involvement (secret oaths and societies?), emotional hypersensitivity, and (if the the pair is afflicted and not supported by practical features in the horoscope and psyche such a well-developed, steady Saturn) can denote a total lack of common sense and little if any self-discipline or prudence.

The next Jupiter-Neptune Conjunction occurs once on April 12, 2022 @23Pis59. So the Collective's sense of unreality may not be much improved with their conjunction perfecting in shady, sometimes confused, Pisces--until their next conjunction in practical Taurus on March 24, 2035!
